WHAT HAVE BEEN ACCOMPLISHED:

JMEC was structural engineer to support various HVAC and Information Technology upgrades for a 3-story police facility.  Work included checking the building for structural adequacy to meet the California Building Code and seismic requirements per ASCE 7.  Work generally included designed equipment seismic anchorages , checked building adequacy for heavier equipments, and evaluated and recommended layout for heavy equipments. The HVAC replacement included condenser units, 400-gallon water tank with twin boilers.  IT upgrade included the replacement of an Uninterrupted Power Supply (UPS) in the computer room.  The new equipments were considerable heavier than the existing, and the selected equipment layout and staging were chosen to ensure adequacy.
